Safety
Valley Park teaches students how to ride and handle horses safely. Our instructors have experience with students of all ages. Our schooling horses are gentle, aged horses who have experience dealing with young and beginner riders. We also have variety of horses on hand for our more experienced students.
Horsemanship
Valley Park values good horsemanship skills. Riders are taught to value the horses' well-being and health. Riding horses is about more than what happens when you are on the horse's back. A relationship between horse and rider begins and is fostered by what happens before and after your ride. A rider's instruction begins with lessons on how to properly lead, tack, and groom the horses that they will be riding.
Camaraderie
Valley Park Stables is more than a place to just take lessons. It is place that encourages a community of friends who love horses. People of all ages find friends at the barn with which to talk, ride, and compete. Our instructors feel that riding is both an individual sport and a team sport. Riders have a teammate in the horse they are riding as well as many teammates with their fellow barn-mates.
Lesson Information And Pricing
Lessons are scheduled on an individual basis with a Valley Park instructor.
- Both private and group lessons are available.
- Private Lessons are 30 minutes in duration.
- Group Lessons are 1 hour in duration.
- Lesson horses and tack are available for use.
- Lessons are available for students 5 years to adult.
Pricing:
- Lessons may be bought individually or in packages of 5 lessons.
- Private Lessons: $55 each or 5 for $255
- Group Lessons: $50 each or 5 for $235
